What a thought–what a poem! “so much goes unnoticed until the situation is dire.” Oh, so true. Thank goodness for the progress in learning and science made. Some days, I really do have to wonder at the silly human race. Thanks for this solid solstice poem.

You sent me googling sundogs, Mary Lee. Hooray for noticing, science, and longer light. We are lucky to have large windows looking to the west, so I can track the sunset (5:14–5 minutes later than 12/11!) each day. Wishing you a joyful Christmas.
